Global manufacturing is facing increasing challenges driven by demands for personalization; low cost; and rapid delivery. COSMO Institute of Industrial Intelligence (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. has developed an agile and flexible intelligent manufacturing solution that leverages an industrial knowledge graph and AI agents as its core intelligence. By integrating virtual simulation with a fully connected industrial internet platform; the system can instantly transform customer requirements into manufacturable features; enabling order-driven production in real time. Based on a mechanistic model library; the system establishes a dual-driven equipment control capability combining data and knowledge. Through the integration of digital twins and AI agents; production line changeover and reconfiguration times have been significantly reduced. An intelligent flexible assembly system for high-end home appliances—applied to refrigerator production lines supporting over 200 models—has been built; effectively reducing assembly programming time and improving workstation efficiency. The project led the development of multiple international and national standards; offering a scalable "agile and flexible intelligent manufacturing" solution for the entire industry.
